Since its founding in 1871, Smith College has provided women of high ability and promise an education of uncompromising quality. Now, offering MOOCs on edX, Smith will be able to reach even more learners around the world.
Smith’s first MOOC on edX will examine the psychology of political activism and will explore what motivated women leaders, such as Gloria Steinem, Loretta Ross and others, to want to change the world.

At Smith College, a world-class faculty of scholars are fully engaged with their students’ intellectual development. Smith students in collaboration with two Mount Holyoke College students and Smith staff contributed to the development of this MOOC.
