It has been a pleasure collaborating with KTH for the past four years. Our work together has helped to further our shared mission to increase access to high-quality education for learners everywhere. At this point we and KTH are each excited about different paths within the online learning space, and thus we have parted ways. We wish KTH all the best in their upcoming endeavors, and we hope to work together again in the future.
We are pleased to announce that KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm has become an edX member.
A renowned technical university in Sweden, KTH will bring its research and education to the edX global learning community.
The Univeristy’s first course, Human Spaceflight – An introduction, will be taught by astronaut Christer Fuglesang, who heads the KTH Space Centre. The course will explore manned space flight and its challenges, led by an astronaut who flew on Space Shuttle Discovery and conducted research on the International Space Station.
Known for its technical research and engineering education, KTH will strengthen its on-campus education with digital learning environments via its partnership with edX. KTH plans to offer between 10 and 20 edX MOOCs in the coming years.
