Everyone has a story to tell. Have you thought about writing a novel, but aren’t sure where to begin? Enroll in How to Write a Novel: Writing the Draft and take your idea from an outline to the draft. Led by international best-selling authors and professors, this novel writing professional development course will take you from concept to completion.

In the month of November, the NaNoWriMo organization is challenging people from around the world to write a 50,000 -word novel. Participants begin on November 1st and have until midnight on November 30th to submit their work. NaNoWriMo’s site helps you create your novel, track your words, and earn badges as you complete milestones along the way.

Similar to edX, this global non-profit organization encourages participants to broaden their knowledge, explore their creative side, and for some, fulfill a life-long dream of writing a novel. Last year, over 380,00 participants, from 646 regions on six continents, including 70,000+ students and educators in the Young Writers Program, completed the challenge and became novelists. Think of the excitement you will feel when your name is proudly displayed on a book spine. Hundreds of NaNoWriMo novels have been traditionally published! EdX celebrates NaNoWriMo’s impressive accomplishments in engaging learners worldwide to educate themselves and reach their goals.

November is officially here, so set your goals, start writing and take advantage of edX’s literature and Professional Education courses as you take on the 50,000-word challenge. Good luck and happy writing! #NaNoWriMo
