We are thrilled to kick off the 2018 edX Global Forum, an event that brings together the entire edX community to explore the future of education.
This year, edX partners from all over the globe are coming together in edX’s hometown, Boston, Massachusetts. The Global Forum is an incredible moment for edX partners to convene to exchange ideas and views on how we can continue our shared mission to increase access to high quality education for all learners, everywhere.
The theme of the 2018 Global Forum is “Transforming Work & Education.” As we come together to learn from one another and hear about our shared successes and challenges, we will focus on the ways in which both work and education are being transformed faster than ever before. We will look at drivers of the rapid change and the role edX members play in facilitating and influencing positive impact. From how to innovate through and with technology to the broader role we have in today’s society and the global environment.
During the two-day event, we look forward to interactive and enthusiastic conversations on an important range of topics, from developing innovative pathways to credit and credentialing to understanding the ways in which universities and corporations can collaborate to address the global skills gap.
We will hear from speakers across the edX global network – from the professors who teach edX courses, to the companies that are investing in edX courses for their employees and from edX learners, who will share how online learning with edX has truly transformed their lives. In addition, Saadia Zahidi, Head of the Centre for the New Economy and Society; World Economic Forum and Deb Bubb, Vice President, Chief Leadership and Learning Officer, IBM, will provide keynote addresses.
