Global Forum 2015: Welcome Partners from Around the World

Discussing the Future of Educational Technology

Today we are thrilled to kick off the 2015 edX Global Forum, where members of the edX community – researchers, technologists, learners and innovators – gather to discuss the future of education.

""EdX partners from around the world are joining us in Washington D.C. this week, where Georgetown University, edX Contributing Charter Member, is our gracious host for this year’s Global Forum. We thank Georgetown for their hospitality and for welcoming the edX global community to our nation’s capital.

We are pleased to welcome 27 new edX members since our last gathering in November 2014. New edX members join us from around the world and include: RWTH Aachen University, Smith College, Princeton University, Teachers College Columbia University, The Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, University of Pennsylvania, Galileo Universidad, Rochester Institute of Technology, University of Edinburgh, Waseda University and many more about whom we will share news in the weeks to come.

These partner institutions lend their incredible expertise and global perspectives to creating high-quality educational content for anyone, anywhere in the world with the desire to learn. We are honored to collaborate with them.

With members from around the world and edX learners coming from every country, we are truly representing education on a global scale.

At this year’s Global Forum we will hear from more than 75 speakers, 60 of whom are our edX partners. In addition, Megan Smith, United States Chief Technology Officer (CTO) in the Office of Science and Technology Policy, will deliver the welcoming keynote, and we will hear from education leaders, edX students and more.
