We are thrilled to announce that Université de Montréal (UdeM), one of the top three university research hubs in Canada, has joined the edX partner community.
UdeM prides itself on reflecting the city whose name it bears, with its welcoming and multicultural mentality. The university is ranked among the top 100 universities in the world, and among the top five French-language universities. It is particularly well-known for computer science, where it ranks 31st in the Times Higher Education World, thanks in part to the contributions of professors Yoshua Bengio, co-recipient of the 2018 Turing Prize and Professor Gilles Brassard, co-inventor of quantum computing.
Université de Montréal’s first courses on edX cover subjects including computer science, ethics, education, and medicine. All courses are currently open for enrollment and start on March 13:
- Deep Learning Essentials
- Bias and Discrimination in AI
- Clinical Reasoning Process
- Réfugiés et demandeurs d’asile: réalités et pistes (French-language)
edX and UdeM are both committed to providing high-quality learning opportunities to learners around the world. We look forward to expanding our partnership in the future with a forthcoming Professional Certificate program in the in-demand field of data science. Together, we will empower edX learners to gain the knowledge and skills to succeed in our changing economy and world.
Please join me in welcoming Université de Montréal to edX.
