Welcome to Trinity College, our newest edX member to offer MOOCs to our online learning community. Located in Hartford, Connecticut, Trinity is an independent liberal arts college whose faculty and alumni include recipients of the Pulitzer Prize, the MacArthur award, Guggenheims, Rockefellers, and other national academic awards.

With a strong commitment to the liberal arts, Trinity’s MOOCs will showcase their breadth of expertise, which they will now be able to share with the global edX learning community. We look forward to working with Trinity to expand their outreach and bring their high quality courses to a worldwide audience.

With this announcement, Trinity has opened two MOOCs for enrollment, both starting on October 19, 2015 – “Science in Art” with Henry DePhillips, Professor of Chemistry, Emeritus, and “Mobile Computing with App Inventor” with Professor of Computer Science Ralph Morelli. Three additional MOOCs are in the works and slated to start during the spring 2016 semester.

Upcoming TrinityX MOOC offerings to launch in spring 2016 will include “Scientific Teaching in Undergraduate Biology” with Associate Professor of Biology Kathleen Archer, “Five Great Ideas in Phenomenology (And One Puzzle)” with Dan Lloyd, Brownell Professor of Philosophy, and “Shaping the Supreme Court: Presidents and the Politics of Law” with Kevin McMahon, John R. Reitemeyer Professor of Political Science.

Please join me in welcoming Trinity and sign up for one of their MOOCs today!
