Today, we are proud to welcome Amnesty International as our newest edX member. Together, we will offer the first MOOCs focused solely on human rights education, and the very first online courses from Amnesty International’s global human rights experts.
Amnesty International will offer a series of MOOCs over the next several years, starting in Fall 2015, establishing the largest online platform for human rights education globally.
From the seasoned activist who wants to learn more about human rights, to the technology entrepreneur whose interest has been piqued by the surveillance and privacy debate, these new courses will have something for everyone.
EdX and Amnesty International are closely aligned in our shared mission to increase educational opportunities worldwide. For this reason, we are honored to play a key part in providing high quality human rights education to learners across the globe. We hope that our global platform, with more than 4 million people from every country in the world, will be an ideal place for the organization to amplify its message of justice for all.
To get involved today, participate in Amnesty International’s online survey to help determine the first human rights courses offered on edX. The experts at Amnesty International will use this information as they design and deliver the courses. They look forward to launching their first course in Fall 2015.
Please join us in welcoming Amnesty International to the edX community, and share your opinions by taking their online survey. We look forward to announcing their first edX courses later this summer!
