Congratulations to the 2019 edX Prize Finalists!

August 20, 2019 | Carolyn Tiernan

I am thrilled to announce the 10 finalists for the fourth annual edX Prize for Exceptional Contributions in Online Teaching and Learning! The edX Prize celebrates the contributions and innovations of educators in the edX community, and amplifies the powerful role that online learning plays in the transformation of education today.

Last year, in Boston at the edX Global Forum, University of Queensland Professors Blake McKimmie, Barbara Masser and Mark Horswill took home the 2018 edX Prize for their course, The Psychology of Criminal Justice.

This year’s finalists represent a diverse range of disciplines – from leadership and business, to tourism and beer, to engineering and computer science. They also represent unique collaborations including a student-produced course and a joint partner course. These finalists truly highlight the vast array of high quality offerings available to learners from our partners on edX.

Members of the edX University Advisory Board, Corporate Advisory Board and previous edX Prize winners will evaluate the 10 finalists and select a winner that will be announced in November at the edX Global Forum, hosted by the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.

Please join me in congratulating the finalists!
