MongoDB’s first MOOC on edX.org will give learners an introduction to this popular toolkit.
The MEAN Stack enables developers to rapidly prototype and deploy performance web and mobile apps.
- M = MongoDB: the popular database
- E = Express.js: a lightweight web application framework
MongoDB accounts for more than half of NoSQL mentions on LinkedIn profiles and is an in-demand skill for hiring managers across enterprises and startups. By the end of this course, you’ll be able to build your first app on MongoDB. As a course project, we’ll build an ecommerce application. This course is taught by Valeri Karpov, the MongoDB engineer who develops Mongoose and who coined the term “MEAN Stack.”
With MongoDB, developers can store documents in a JSON-like format, write JSON queries on the ExpressJS and NodeJS based server, and seamlessly pass JSON documents to the AngularJS frontend.
We are excited to connect with the edX global learning community and explore the MEAN Stack together.
