In 2015, countries from all over the world adopted a new set of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as part of the United Nation’s Transforming our world: the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The agenda set forth 17 “Global Goals” as a plan of action for our world to end poverty and hunger, protect our planet and ensure prosperity for all. Below is a snapshot of the 17 goals.
The UN’s SDGs are both inspirational and ambitious and will require us to unlock resources and find innovation solutions to achieve them. How will we finance these goals? How can citizens get involved? What technological advancements will help us achieve the SDGs?
Whether you currently work in the development sector or are looking to better understand and contribute to our world’s economic, social and technological development, the below courses will expand your knowledge and not only provide insight into the world’s current state of development but also into how we can work to reach our goals by 2030.
As the United Nations stated, “If we realize our ambitions across the full extent of the Agenda, the lives of all will be profoundly improved and our world will be transformed for the better.”
