Did you know that this week is #CSEdWeek?
Computer science drives innovation throughout the economy and whether or not you become a computer scientist, computational thinking is a powerful tool for jobs in social sciences, economics, finance, and understanding the world at large. Currently, there are 517,393 open computing jobs nationwide. With a starting salary of $61,321, there should be a large number of applicants seeking computer science jobs, yet only 42,969 CS graduates entered the workforce last year.
Here at edX, we are committed to offering high-quality education and developing innovative programs and pathways to increase access to computer science education. If you’re looking to begin a career in computer science, or want to expand your programming skills, we offer free, high-quality computer science online courses at every level, from introductory to advanced, to learners all over the world.
